Prior to founding Renz & Partners in 2015, Philippe Renz practiced for several years as a lawyer and prosecutor at the Federal Office of Civil Aviation of Switzerland, then in aviation law firms in London and Geneva.
In aviation, Philippe advises his clients on all matters relating to national and international aviation regulations and assists them with respect to civil, administrative and criminal matters relating to aviation. He also advises them in all matters relating to the sale, purchase, lease, financing, holding, operation and maintenance of aircraft, and assists them in the drafting and the negotiation of their contracts.
Philippe specialises in particular in safeguarding the interests of victims of aviation accidents and incidents. The firm has dedicated a website to its services in this field.
With Clean Aero, an advisory service unique in the market launched in 2019, Philippe makes sure that the financial interests of aircraft sellers and buyers are at all times preserved in their transactions, and that the latter comply with the highest ethical standards.
Philippe also specialises in customs law and VAT in aviation. With Aircraft Import Switzerland, he assists owners and operators in the process of definitive importation, temporary admission and export of their aircraft.
In the field of sports, Philippe assists his clients on all contractual and regulatory matters and in their contentious proceedings, in particular in doping cases. As an authorized intermediary, he represents players in the negotiation and conclusion of their employment and transfer agreements.
Philippe is regularly invited at international conferences and seminars as guest speaker. He writes for leading publications in aviation and sports.

Daniel Gränicher is a partner with the law firm Luginbühl Gasser + Partner in Bern, which he joined in 2009. He worked previously as a lawyer with the Public Prosecutor of the Canton of Bern and with the Federal Office of Civil Aviation of Switzerland.
